Founded in 1986 as part of the City of Houston’s efforts to support small businesses, HBDi was originally developed to revitalize a historic retail center, transforming it into a community hub for business growth and innovation.
Through low-interest loans and dedicated consulting services, HBDi contributes significantly to the stabilization and growth of Houston’s small business sector.
HBDi collaborates with numerous organizations including, but not limited to, the City of Houston, Bethune Empowerment Center, SBA, and SCORE.
